Automotive engine cylinder head
The cylinder head is one of the five major components of an engine. It is mounted on top of the cylinder block, sealing the cylinders from above and forming the combustion chamber. Since it frequently comes into contact with high-temperature, high-pressure gases, it endures significant thermal and mechanical loads.

The cylinder block is one of the five major components of an engine and serves as the foundation upon which all other engine parts are mounted. Through the cylinder block, the engine integrates the crankshaft-connecting rod mechanism, the valve train, and systems for fuel supply, lubrication, and cooling into a single, cohesive unit.
Engine lightweighting is widely applied in mechanized products, and particularly in automotive engines, where lightweighting represents one of the key measures for energy conservation and emission reduction. Its energy-saving benefits are mainly reflected in substantial reductions in the consumption of petroleum—automotive fuel—and its emission-reducing effect lies in minimizing the release of polluting gases as much as possible. Currently, our company’s primary cylinder block products have successfully transitioned from cast iron components to aluminum alloy components. As shown in the left-hand figure, the 4A9 cylinder block, originally made of cast iron, weighed 30.8 kilograms; after switching to aluminum alloy, its weight has been reduced to just 19.8 kilograms—a decrease of 35.7%.
Electric vehicle motor housing
The growing number of fuel-powered vehicles has led to issues such as dwindling petroleum resources, environmental pollution, and urban space overcrowding; consequently, new-energy vehicles have experienced rapid development. The function of the electric motor is to convert electrical energy from the power source into mechanical energy, which then drives the wheels and working mechanisms either through a transmission system or directly.
1. Cooling Function: Since the motor often operates at high temperatures, it requires a water-cooling system to meet its thermal management needs. Although water circulation offers significant cooling performance, the water circulation system is complex and carries a risk of water leakage. Therefore, the motor housing must have high air-tightness.
2. Supporting Function: The end cover is mounted on the end face of the motor housing, so the motor housing needs to have good strength.
